When most people think of Chiropractic they think of getting help for back pain, neck pain and headaches.

Chiropractic is great for these conditions,
but there is so much more to Chiropractic.

Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly those of the spine, and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health (World Health Organisation).

Chiropractic is a hands-on treatment using specific adjustments to restore function to the joints and surrounding tissues without the use of surgery or drugs.

Chiropractic is really about improved performance through improved function of your spine and nervous system. That’s why the majority of professional athletes and Olympians LOVE chiropractic. And that’s why the majority of our patients often report a feeling of better general wellbeing, as well as relief of their symptoms.

Chiropractic has a focus on the spine and in particular subluxations of the spine. These are joints that have lost proper function and/or alignment and are interfering with the body’s ability to comprehend itself and make adjustments to its environment. Essential everyday functions for a healthy body. Often times you will not know that you have poor spinal function, because it doesn’t always give symptoms.

Much like the only way you know if your teeth are healthy or if you have a cavity is to get checked by your dentist, the only way you know the health of your spine and nervous system is to get checked. Chiropractors are experts at detecting spinal dysfunction and experts at helping people get well, stay well and live well.
